Ardennes du Coitron's first stud, imported in 1951. He was a large, very typical dog, who won 2 or 3 provincial CAC's, but he wasn't in keeping with the line of X'Woendale. BBA p80
(Note: According to the judge's critique of the March 6, 1955 Paris show, Arder was given a Most Honorable Mention 'Tres Bon', having been outclassed by Cadix des Forges Monceux, Yogi du Chemin des Dames, Will du Chemin des Dames, Cheick de Colombia and Ajax du Chemin des Dames. The judge says that Arder had a good head, good eyes, good bone, good movement, but lacked sheepdog life and spirit.) BBA p81
