Malou

photo 1946 Chiens de France
She was sold after weaning but was reclaimed by the kennel one year later. In 1946 she became a French Champion at the Strasbourg Championship show, the first after the war. The was the best bitch in the kennel after Manon. She was worthy of her great grandmother and had much the same type. Average in her construction, perfectly balanced with good legs and a strong back, she was quite distinguised in her presentation and in her carriage. Her ears were small and her eyes were almost a black chestnut color. She had perfect pigmentation. BBA p76
At 11, Malou was bred one last time to Ubro of the Country House and gave her owner a last, lovely dog, Xamalou de l'Etoile Blanche, who won two or three CAC's, but he didn't make an interesting foundation. The sudden death of its owner ended an important production, not only in quantity but also in quality, a quality and vitality still present in contemorary dogs. BBA p78
