Demon du Chemin des dames and Grillon de la Dune aux Loups. Grillon was of rather more solid conformation, had a good stud dog's head and small, high set ears, a profuse coat and a steady, intrepid character. He was an ever happy creature, a really natural fellow. He passed as Guard Dog I, II and III and also as an avalanche dog. He bequeathed his qualities and his positive character to his numerous descendants. Many later trials winners bore his name in their pedigrees.
