When the Brindels gave up their kennels in Muncie, Indiana, and moved to Florida, Mr Brindel became active in teaching obedience classes. They took their two favorite dogs with them Sheba II de Belique and Francois de Chemin des Dames, or "Bing". Bing was in the pedigrees of many of the best Belgians in America at that time. The Brindels were not able to finish his championship because of his being hit by a car, which left him lame. He was and excellent guard dog at their home. Mr Brindel told an amusing story about a stranger approaching their house and meeting the big black dog blocking his entrance. The man tried to kick him out of the way. Bing caught his foot and set him down hard, then barked until Mr Brindel told him it was all right. The BS Marge Turnquist 1985 p80
Not to be confused with French Chemin des Dames kennel, since Francois was American bred. He was the father or the grandfather of most of the dogs appearing on p 6-7 of the Belgian Shepdog Handbook. BBA p120-122
