Instead of getting surgery she wrapped it tight and went herding with Brodhi in Washington state during one of the coldest and wettest winters in many years. Sheep and knees are not the happiest pairings under the best of circumstances, in wet mucky pastures in the pouring rain much less so! Penny invested in some extra layers of rain and snow gear and persevered. The very first time for them BOTH in the herding arena was April 1, 2011 when they went HIT at an All Breed herding trial from Started! Their 3rd time in the ring they went HIT again for his second leg at the BSCA National Specialty. Brodhi and Penny have an amazing relationship which shone through at the specialty not only in herding but in Obedience, Novice A 2nd place, and in Rally, Novice A 1st place. To top it off Brodhi earned an AOM and was 1st in Stud Dog with his daughters, Indy (Best in Sweeps) and Andie (WB/BW) behind him. I am in awe of all they have accomplished together not only this year but in their journey together in life. (Isengard Belgians) "At the 2010 BSCA National Specialty Brodhi earned his first Rally Novice A leg with a 100 and 1st place and his first Novice A Obedience leg!!!" (Isengard Belgians) "To the best of my knowledge none of the dogs that I have bred have developed epilepsy to date. One of the dogs I have bred, Oncore [Brodhi], produced seizuring in a litter on the east coast. The dam of the litter was Select AKC and UKC Grand CH SumerWynd-n-Trier's Kozy at Chateaugay CGC PT FDCH. The breeder was Carol Chamberlain. Kozy has never seizured and neither has Brodhi or any of his littermates to date, nor any of the puppies in his other litter. As far as Carol or I know none of Kozy or Brodhi's half-siblings have seizured. If anyone has more information about epilepsy in close relatives please contact Carol or me. Thank you."
