Ted & Freda Rowland of Roll In Kennels purchased their first Belgian, Ch Vicki de Beaute Noir, from Art & Bea Brindel in 1945. This beginning led to over 35yrs of breeding & training Belgian Sheepdogs. Freda was a remarkable person.
In 1970 Freda passed away at the National Specialty and since 1971 a Freda Rowland Memorial Trophy, in the form of a large silver bowl, has been given by the BSCA in her memory. The name of the winning dog is engraved on the trophy. The BS by M Turnquist pg79
