Then there was Paf de la Thudinie, a large dog with very small ears and a lot of coat, but not a dog which interested me (Sheila & Lloyd Rentschler). He had a very peculiar expression, the eyes were very tiny and deepset high in the skull. His overall structure was not outstanding either. The BS by Andrews & Cloutt
Jack Bushby was well known for his vast fund of stories of his own and other dogs. His memories of travelling to shows in Belgium were fascinating, including his story of the famous Paf de la Thudinie who hated having to get up so early to go to a show! Paf would complain bitterly at having to leave his kennel so early. Only Jack, swearing in fluent Flemish, stopped Paf from venting his feelings in a more physical form! Paf was, in fact, one of three males offered to Jack and Doreen to come to England, the other two being Pimbo de la Baraque de Planches and Quivala de la Baraque de Planches. Pimbo was chosen and came to England in 1968. Paf remained in Belgium siring many successful offspring and Quivala went to Sheila Rentschler in the USA where he became an American Champion and sired 39 champions.
