L'Historique du Berger Belge Georges Van Ceulebroeck p149
The name of 'Enclus' shone with a very lively flame in the Malinois firmament for a score of years in the period situated like a horseshoe, before and after the 1914-1918 war.
The foundation bitch was Cora, a direct daughter of Tjop, following the formula which had succeeded so well at the kennel of Jolimont, the blood of Tjop and Dewet were steadly recaptured in order to fix type. But in a less happy dosage, due to the intense consanguinity, from which they ultimately couldn't escape. Because of this, even after achieving some great show wins, this kennel, from a historical perspective, is not as important in the future of the variety as its rival, Jolimont. The line which Enclus created was soon lost.
