Located in the Paris region, it (Chemin des Dames) began in 1924...with the purchase of a young girl's first dog, Pitou.
As an adult he was a very large dog of 65 centimeters, who gave a great impression of strength and dominion, but who attained his perfection only at the age of 3 years. He was a champion of France in 1927 and remained undefeated until the age of 9, when he retired a title holder of 50 CAC and CACIB's.
Although his head was less elegant than that of our present day subjects, he was overall very strong and remained distinguished, without coarseness. His chest was very deep, his top line remarkable, his carriage was at the same time both proud and aloof. His ring presence was extraordinary and it enabled him to win numerous great prizes, all the varieties reunited.
Endowed with an excellent character, very sharp. He bordered on excellent in his only working trial, where he was shown by his young mistress, who doubtlessly made him make some mistakes. In spite of his disadvantage, he managed to get 290 out of 400 possible points in the great championship program. BBA p62
