Born in Damascus, imported into England in 1921 and died in UK in 1931. Sire of 26 litters. Largest single influence in the pedigree of virtually every Saluki. Kelb sired 5 Champion Sons and 5 Champion Daughters. He became the first Saluki dog Champion when Challenge Certifcates were awarded and won his final and 12th Challenge Certifcate at Crufts in 1930 at age 11 and died the following year. Kelb was imported by the late Brigadier and Mrs. Lance. He was a typical Shami type Saluki from Syria and a wonderful coursing hound.
