We had bought Skivari from Mr L de Zeeuw, who was the owner of the kennel "De Vlaamsche Scheper", the most important kennel of that time in Holland. In particular, his dog Marcoo had a great influence on the Laekenois. Shivari was born 30 August, 1966 and she died at the age of 15 1/2 years old. Skivari was a magnificent example of her race and had a lot of success in both the show ring and in protection work. She won the following titles: Winner 1969, 1971 at Amsterdam Champion 1970 at Leuwarden and Rotterdam Champion 1972 at Mannheim in Germany Defence Certificate VHI in 1969 with the honourable mention "fearless" Skivari was bred several times and produced magnificent pups. She was the generator of the following six champions: Astrid vd Middachten-obtained in three shows her title Arnaud vd Middachten-winner 1972, 73; World Champion 1973, and best of the Clubmatch NVBH 1972 Cynthia vd Middachten-Dutch Champion Denise vd Middachten-Luxembourg 1977 and European Champion 1977 Fiona vd Middachten-Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourg Champion, Youth Yelle vd Middachten-Dutch Champion and Best of the Clubmatch NVBH 1976 Henrike vd Middachten-Best of the Clubmatch NVBH 1977 The BS by Andrews & Cloutt
