Venot carried a mixture of high quality blood. He was a dog of 66 centimeters, very strong, good legs with an excellent rear, a medium length head with small ears. His head was very masculine, but without exaggerated coarsness. Moreover, this dog had an excellent temperament and as a result, was often presented in the ring.
