(1924 French Champion) He was a good sized male (about 63 centimeters) with a very lovely medium type, good legs, very small, highly attached and perfectly carried ears. He had a strong, excellently textured coat and a very square body.
The breeding of half-brother and sister gave France its first two champions from French breeding. In 1924 Pitou des Barricades and in 1925 Bella Belle des Barricades. BBA p61
Bas Jardins was a long lived kennel from almost the beginnings to the 1940s. Leopold Dupuis (related to Georges Dupuis, Garenne in the LOB, M'nu Bos in the LOSH) became a famous breed judge with the Kennel Club Belge.
