Hecate enjoyed running, when she wanted to and how she wanted to. She retired from coursing to live with Arlene Agro, who had a terrible grounddog problem. One of Arlene's favorite riding horses died after falling in a groundhog hole. It was not long before Hecate's keen hunting desire eliminated all but one groundhog. Hecate watches that groundhog from the front porch, always thinking and watching.
1982 BOB winner of the Treybeau Follies Lure Trial, the longest running trial on the East Coast held annually on December 31.
