exported from France to Switzerland
Two stud dogs imported from France predominated in the years between 1955 and 1964. Grillon de la Dune aux Loups and the exceptionally elegant and shapely Demon du Chemin des Dames. Demon was the first Groenendael to achieve the high title of Swiss Sieger.
He was of elegant appearance and great nobility, a very beautiful head and well placed ears. He was one of the most sought after stud dogs of his time and we have him to thank for many winners at home and abroad. Bossi BSD 3rd ed p14
CACIB Paris 1959, sold to Switzerland, a subject of medium type and size who remained to my recollection, the best moving subject which one could find. He was the father of many CACIB subjects and many champions and whose line is continued in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and in Italy, where many of his descendants produce regularly. BBA p71
