Cristal (a groenendael bitch) was born in South-Africa. Her parents where van "de Hoge Laer" Tervueren. Cristal's father being Juno van de Hoge Laer (brother to Jarash) and thus a son of Beggy of the Two and Sam. Cristal's mother was Kelly van de Hoge Laer (Jagger van de Hoge Lear x Iamin van de Hoge Laer).
This litter of Juno and Kelly produced 14 puppies, 12 Tervueren and two black's. Cristal came back to Belgium. She had one van de Hoge Laer litter for van de Hoge Laer. Mated to Fantasque du Sart des Bois she gave birth to Quasi Noir, Quantas and Quran all van de Hoge Laer. (Kennel Van de Hoge Laer)

In 1991 in South Africa, two black bitches (due to the 'at' gene) were born in a very large litter of 14 puppies out of two red 'Van de Hoge Laer' (Juno x Kelly). The breeder, H Stead, who didn't count on such a large litter of puppies, graciously made us a gift of the two black bitches. One of them, Galengrove Crystal, remained with us at home. When mated to Fantasque du Sart des Bois, Crystal produced an excellent couple consisting of Quantas (CAC) and sr Quasi Noir (Best in Show at the Dutch Specialty Show). In turn, Quasi Noir in her first litter with Buster Jessie van Lana's Hof produced Tsico (Best Junior in Amsterdam and RCAC at le Bourget) and Talane (Best Junior at the Specialty Show in Belgium).
