1984 Select ABTC National Specialty
Canadian High in Trial Obedience
Owner's comments: "Quip" doesn't enter a room - she springs into it. She doesn't participate - she activates. Everything is done with a continual wag and a smile. Anything is HER game.
.....SELECT 1984 ABTC National Specialty (Joe Gregory).....Am. CD - many placements including 1st in Nov. B in the 1984 ABTC National Specialty....Can. CD - HIT and placements....Can. CDX - 4 legs, 4 firsts.....7 points, 2 majors towards HTCH....lead dog on my sled team....charming companion.
Anyone who knows Quip understnads what makes her accomplishments extra special. 1986 ABTC Gene VolIII p195
Owner's comments: "Quip" - that amazing, one-eyed*, bundle of enthusiasm that I'm proud to call "my best friend". Quip does it all - and loves every minute of it! (*Quip has had a blind left eye since her nearly fatal encounter with a Golden of dubious character when she was 4 months old.)
Shows: Champion - earning all but the last major by 9 mos of age - SELECT '84 ABTC National Specialty
Herding: HTCH - with points on sheep and ducks (started, open, and adv) - defeating Tervs, Aussies, BCs, etc - multi "high other breed in trial" awards - high combined duck dog at two-day Aussie spec. - 1 ATDd leg
Obedience: Can. HIT multi 1st place wins including 1st Nov. B '84 ABTC National and 1st for all 4 Can CDX legs; Sledding: Lead dog; Misc: baby sitter for any species, wonderful brood bitch, diver and swimmer extraordinaire, bite work enthusiast, first class general farm dog and couch compannion. (seizure-free at nearly 8 yrs)
A Quip only comes once in a lifetime - I'm so grateful that she came into mine. My goal is to produce the versatility and delight that is Quip for others to enjoy and for the future of the breed. 1990 ABTC Gene VolIV p185
