1931 Belgian Tracking Trial Champion

A working champion. The tracking bitch of the policeman, Van den Eynde. She was of better Berger Belge type than Carillon. An excellent tracker, and a bitch who served her master well. (Note: Crigga, according to Verbanck, was born September 28, 1928. She was the product of Mr Van den Eynde's Malinois bitch of unknown origins, 'Rita', and a male sheepdog, the offspring of a long hair and a short hair from the Campine region. Crigga was a very pale fawn without blackening.)
BBA p26

The Brigade kennel, which from the begining was dedicated to the Malinois, began with Crigga, a short hair, born in 1928 from unknown origins. She was a large bitch, well-built for a brood bitch, solid, but rather too common, with a uniformly pale fawn color. Through her training with the police - Van den Eynde was a policeman - she became a working champion in 1931. Shown almost by chance in a small show, she won the third excellent placing, which in this period in breed history not only allowed her to be registered with a LOSH number, it also allowed her to be bred.
