Two other imports deserve mention at Rudy's kennel. Hety du Clos St Clair and sister Hiarka. Hiarka was used for breeding purposes only twice. She produced Tangerine Candide, who has been cited as one of the early female beauties. Hety appears in many of today's pedigrees. He was called "Kissy" by Rudy, who kept him until his death at age 14 in 1971. The authors saw Hety shortly before his death, and he had as much energy and spring in his legs as a young dog.
