Across the other side of England an adult bitch was imported from the USA. This was American Champion Qandi du Petite Chalet CD, who arrived in whelp to Am Champion Chateaubriand. The litter of six pups were born in October 1972 and these were registered as the Staround 'A' litter, all red. Within the year, Qandi was joined, again from America, by a young male, Uranus de Braise Rouge. Uranus mated Qandi to produce the Staround 'B' and 'C' litters and was later used on the bitches from the Staround 'A' litter. He died of heartworm when he was three years old. A further dog came in from USA in 1974, Colombe O'Albions Franglad (of Kepammi) and he, in time, mated to Staround Cora (1975) to produce the Kepammi 'H' litter and Staround Hy Adventure (1976) to produce the Manitias 'Birds' litter. In 1975 a red dog, Colombe O'Albions Franglad, bred by Mr Calderwood, was imported from America.
