World's first BIS saluki bitch, winner of 2 BIS, 9 Hound Groups, 19 Best Opposites and 89 Best of Breeds. Taj placed in over 40 Groups and won the 1969 SCOA National Specialty over 42 entries. Taj was No. 1 Saluki in 1971 and in the Top Ten for 3 years. She produced 7 Champion offsprings before her death at age 7 from cancer. Taj's picture, along with half-sister Bosah, is printed on the front cover of Dogs, 1977. Top Producer 1975.

Mimi Carlyle donated the Taj Memorial perpetual trophy in honor of Taj to be offered by the Galveston Bay Saluki Club for the Best Bitch in the Specialty
