1965 exported from France to UK (Viroflay)
1969 exported from UK to Norway (Fairwood)
by Doreen Bushby of Viroflay:
Early in 1965 M Jolivet had overcome his scruples about quarantine and agreed to sell me a dog puppy who came into this country about the time Kaline died; this was Viroflay Okay du Val d'Orge (Nero).
In 1969 Roy Lundgren asked if he could have Nero to improve the Norwegian stock and after much soul-searching I decided to let him go. Jack took him over with strict instructions to bring him back if he wasn't satisfied with the conditions.
Before Nero left it was becoming increasingly obvious that fresh stock was needed in the Viroflay kennels; other breeders were breeding from the Indo and Inkasa line and the progeny of Noir de Rhodesia but I felt that we were losing that elegance that is the hallmark of the Belgian Shepherd Dog.
Exported to England. Kennel Viroflay. Exported to Norway. Kennel Fairwood. English and Norwegian show champion.
