1958 May American Champion

In the spring of 1954, Rudy Robinson turned to the kennel of Gilbert Fontaine to import two more Tervueren littermates. He wanted a puppy from Willy de la Garde Noire, who was at that time considered to be the greatest Belgian of all time in Europe. D'Jimmy & Daloue du Clos St Clair were the puppies. Rudy believes D'Jimmy was the best conformation specimen he ever owned in a Tervueren. John Hinckley purchased D'Jimmy for his wife, Betty, for a combination birthday and Christmas present, and they showed him to his championship in May of 1958. He was the first Tervueren champion in the US. Dorothy Blew Hollister lived with the Hinckleys during the time he was being show, and it was she who provided a final home for him when Mrs Hinckley fell ill.
The BS by Andrews & Cloutt

Djimmy du Clos Saint Claire, born in France in 1954, became a champion as a Belgian Sheepdog, then after the breeds were split, he finished again to become the first AKC Champion Belgian Tervuren. So nice he finished twice! (ABTC)
