The RE Nick des Hauts de Bievre bred with RE Pistache du Clos Briselet produced five fawns and eight grey in three litters with almost the forseen percentages: three fourths, one fourth...
(phenotype 3/4 fawn)
1/4 Tervuren "CC"
2/4 fawn "Cch"
(phenotype 1/4 grey)
1/4 grey "chch"

The world of Belgian Shepherd Dogs had some very sad news in the early part of the year (1997) when we heard of the untimely death of Dr Surget of the du Bois du Tot affix. Dr Surget was a very prominent and infulential figure in the breed in France, indeed throughout Europe. He had a strong interest in the health of the breed as well as in the beauty and had written many articles and books on the breed. We were especially saddened that we were denied the privilege of having his opinion on our dogs at our Championship Show in 1997, where he was to have judged bitches. (Margy Pratten) 1998 YB p7
