1990 Best in Show All-Breed Show
multi Group winner & placer

Owner's comments: Lester is indeed a once in a lifetime dog: enjoyalbe companion, hard worker on the ranch, and a vey consistent showring performer, she finished her championship in five shows, her first Group Placement was at one year of age, and a month later at the 1982 National Specialty, she was "Select", at the 1983 and 1984 Nationals, she was chosen Best of Opposite Sex, and at the 1985 National, she was BOB.
She is sound and lovely, with extraordinary balance and truly flowing movement. She has outstanding endurance and incredible agility. Lester is a "Material Girl", with all the right material. 1986 ABTC Gene VolIII p11

Owner's comments: Lester is truly a once in a lifetime dog. Her accomplishments in the ring are astounding. She was the Top Tervuren Female for 3 years, she was in the top ten for 4 years, three of those years top 5. Lester has been to 5 National Specialties: In 1985, she was the National Specialty Best of Breed, in 1983 and 1984 she was National Specialty Best of Opposite Sex, in the years 1982 and 1987 she was chosen "Select". She has numerous group placings in both the working and herding groups, and has 7 group 1's. Her character is extraordinary, giving her best in the most trying conditions. She is a terrific friend, and the other stuff is just icing.
1990 ABTC Gene VolIV p19

Lester is a once in a lifetime dog. National Specialty wins include Best of Opposite at the Nationals twice, and Select at all 7 Nationals she attended. Best of Breed in 1985, and again in 1990 at the age of 9, after which she then won an All Breed Best In Show, retiring from the breed ring as the Top Winning Bitch of all time. Now she started working toward her UDT, the other requirement of a well-balanced Tervuren. Lester is completely honest, earning her CD in 3 trials with all first places, her CDX was almost as easy, the UD was more difficult, but we got it. Tracking was a different story, and once I realized that she was the one with the nose, her trot to the glove was successful, and she carried that glove all the way back to the car. Tromping around the shows, to mucking through fields, to lounging on the couch, we've had the best times together.
