Owner's comments: Kandice was the first Belgian Tervuren champion bitch to earn her CDX. She excelled in her outgoing personality. Her showmanship along with her near perfection earned her a Best of Breed at the supported show over 12 male champions and made her the second bitch to take a group placing for our breed. She loved to perform and did so without hesitation may it be in the show ring or obedience, or just plain helping mentally retarded children enjoy a day with a pet. Her fine quality will be found in many of our show dogs today, she will be remembered for a longtime. She is the dam of nine champions and many grandchildren earned their championship. 1973 ABTC Gene VolI p78

Ch Kandice de Fauve Charbonne, CDX, went to Edeltraud Laurin. Edeltraud had owned one Tervueren earlier, Viv de la Moulin Rouge, which she purchased in March of 1960. In December of that same year Viv wandered off with a neighbour's beagle and never returned. Edeltraud was by then a confirmed admirer of the breed and Kandice was acquired in January of 1962. Kandice earned the BAR award in 1970 for nine champion offspring and four champion grand offspring. The BS by Andrews & Cloutt
