The only other early breeding in that area was accomplished by William Stewart. He acquired a sister of Val (the Hudson's dog) and bred her back to Dandy. This mating in 1959 produced D'Artagnone du Falaise, who sired Ch Mars de Fauve Charbonne UDT. One of the other pups in the Stewart litter was shown and once placed fourth in group. He was subsequently killed on the highway. Another pup lost his master and was put down. The dam was also killed.
