We learned today of the passing of another wonderful Tervuren - AKC/CKC CH Arlequin Alouette de Bonheur. "Allie" would have been 16 at the end of the month. She was bred by Betsy Keating and Alleyne Dickens and initially owned by Penny Cowie and Alleyne. She was a remarkable show dog and produced the brilliant Trysta. She returned to Betsy for the autumn of her life and comforted her family when Betsy left us.
If there are dogs shows across the bridge, I know Betsy and Allie are strutting their stuff together again.
(Bonheur, November 11, 2012)

Moxie has also proven herself as a producer. I will mention the two of her offspring that I own. The first is AKC/CKC Ch Arlequin Alouette de Bonheur, who lives with her co-owner Penny Cowie of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Allie burst into the show ring in the Spring of 1998. She earned her Canadian Championship in two weekends, then traveled into the US to be shown by Betsy. She won the Novice class at the 1998 ABTC National Specialty. She was an American Champion within weeks and winning multi-Best of Breed awards during the late spring and early summer. All this was before her second birthday. Allie's sire is sr Gabatchou du Val des Ours.
The other Moxie kid is my won 'Frasier', UKC Ch Arlequin Bonheur Buccaneer. Shown to multiple major reserves at AKC shows, Frasier's undeniable style and character brought its real reward at UKC shows. The United Kennel Club recognizes the Belgians as one breed with four varieties, and allows only breed specialists to judge them. Frasier became a UKC Champion in five shows at ten months of age. He is the youngest ever UKC champion Belgian Shepherd Dog. Frasier's sire is RE UKC Grand Champion, AKC/Monaco Champion Gourou du Crepuscule des Loups. (Alleyne Dickens, Bonheur)
