Owner's comments: Tearin came to our home at one year of age, after a very rocky start with her previous owner. Her breeder, Pat Weymouth, asked if I would take her temporarily, train her, and perhaps put a championship on her. Since I didn't have a class dog to show, I readily accepted. I never planned on keeping another dog - especially a bitch!
After a couple of months of getting to know each other, Tearin was entered in her first two shows. She was Best of Breed over multiple specials for a major, and the next day was Best of Winners for another major. Her third show was an ABTC supported entry where she was Best of Winners again. Tearing finished at her fourth show with a four point major.
When introduced to agility, Tearin loved it right away. She completed her NCDA Agility Trial Championship in seven shows with many perfect scores. Since I though she was too small for USDAA Agility where a dog her size had to jump 30", she was temporarily retired while I trialed my boys. When the AKC Agility program started, I put her back in training and she got her AKC Novice Agility Dog Title and her AKC Open Agility Dog Title in 3 straight trials each.
Tearin has a scissors bite with full dentition, dark eye, parallel head planes and small ears. Her coat is mahogany and black, and quite profuse for a bitch. She has an excellent shoulder with lots of side movement. Her personality is delightful; she is constantly "smiling" at her human and Terv friends, and is happiest when engaged in an enthusiastic game of fetch. She is easy to train and has a high desire to please. All in all, she has been a delightful and welcome addition to my Tervuren collection.
