exported from France to US (Garde Roux)

1963 C/O-BAR

Owner's comments: Champion Kenny de Cledeville CD (France) was one of the early imports to this country. He is found in many pedigrees and is blessed with a prepotent ability to produce his over-all beauty, quality and intelligence in each generation of his progeny. Kenny was the founder stud at du Garde Roux Tervuren. 1973 ABTC Gene VolI p53

November 15, 1961, brought still another import to this country, Ch Kenny de Cledeville, CD. Kenny made his appearance at the age of three months at the home of Lou and Cliff Hawkinson in Warrenville Ill.
The BS by Andrews & Cloutt

As usual, after examining many photos of the most notable subjects in the US, the Tervuren seem to be of greater homogeneity as a group than the Groenendael, in spite of the incontestable worth of some of the Groenendael. The Tervuren type is better, the nobility and distinction are superior. The subject are squarer, the heads better chiseled and the ears infintely better. A dog like Kenny de Cledeville certainly would have won some CAC's in France or Belgium if he had not been exported, and if he seems to be the best, he is not alone in this case. BBA p124
