Pictured (left) May 29, 1953 handled by importer/owner Rudy Robinson, receiving an award from judge Alva Rosenberg. Zulvo was sent by Mr Verbanck of Belgium to Rudy along with his sister Zamorane to replace two earlier export puppies that had died. He was used extensively by American breeders in an effort to improve type.
An American amateur (Rudy Robinson) an importer of the best American Berger Belge, after having visited the Belgian kennels, bought Zulvo, a son of Ubro of the Country House by Teabella. Zulvo satisfies as completely as possible the ideal Berger Belge, as described by the standard. As a result of a request by this amateur (Rudy Robinson) to examine, and if possible, to complete the pedigree of Zulvo, we devoted ourselves to the study of this line, and we realized that the influence of Ilion and of his mother, the silver grey Filoza, is continued by Ubro of the Country House.
As a reslut of this request, we realized that it was impossible to find the exact origins of Sarmen, an excellent bitch. That is one of the imponderables of the kennels in the Binche region. BBA p23
